The bikes
For this epic journey, we’ve chosen the BMW R nineT, a motorcycle that embodies both heritage and performance, making it the perfect companion for our route. With its powerful yet versatile engine, on and off road capabilities, and classic rally-inspired design, the R nineT Scrambler delivers an exhilarating ride across Senegal’s diverse terrain. Other bikes, like the BMW GS(A) or KTM Adventure are also available on request.
The nights
After thrilling days on the road, unwind in carefully selected lodging that blend comfort with local charm. From boutique lodges to unique stays that capture the spirit of Senegal, each stop offers a chance to recharge in style. For those craving a true rally experience, we’ll set up bivouac or camping nights under the vast African sky—when the group is up for it—bringing the camaraderie and adventure of the original Dakar spirit to life.
The group
To keep the experience safe, personal, and immersive, we limit our groups to a maximum of six riders. This ensures a tight-knit atmosphere, allowing everyone to fully embrace the adventure while receiving personalized guidance and support. Riding in a small group means more flexibility, better safety, and a shared camaraderie that makes every moment—on and off the bike—even more special.
“A challenge for those who go, a dream for those who stay behind.” - Thierry Sabine

FAQs

Yes! Senegal is one of the safest and most welcoming countries in West Africa. The country has a stable political climate and a strong reputation for hospitality, often referred to as "Teranga" (Senegalese hospitality). Like any travel destination, it is advisable to stay aware of your surroundings and follow standard safety measures, but overall, tourists feel very safe here. Safety is our priority!
-
Upon arrival in Dakar, a personal transfer will take you to the hotel, where you’ll have plenty time to organize your luggage and fitting on the motorcycle. To ensure safety and comfort we kindly request that you bring your own riding gear. Your luggage will be safely stored during the ride. You’ll only bring the essentials on the bike and we recommend everyone to only take what’s necessary.
-
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many travelers, including those from the U.S., EU, and ECOWAS countries, can visit Senegal visa-free for short stays. We recommend checking with your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information. To ensure your safety, we strongly advise every participant to provide international travel insurance for medical calamities. When in doubt, we can help you figure out what you need to do.

Ah, the age-old art of spousal persuasion! First, try the classic approach: tell him/her it’s a "relaxing getaway" (carefully omitting any mention of early morning departures or slightly questionable roadside food stands). If that fails, appeal to him/her sense of adventure—reminding that life is short, and so is your patience for another weekend of reorganizing the garage.
Still no luck? Bribery works wonders. Promise a spa day, unlimited shopping, or a guilt-free nap upon return. And if all else fails, casually mention that your mother was really excited to go instead—she’ll be packing her bags before you finish the sentence.
In all seriousness… Your partner can also follow in our service vehicle that follows the route. Please enquire for more information. Adventures are best shared!

Anyone with a valid motorcycle license, a normal overall physique and a knack for adventure is welcome to join. With an emphasis to adventure. Our travels are meticulously planned and arranged but be aware that we’re traveling through Africa. That means sometimes expecting the unexpected. We encourage you however to leave your comfort zone and we will provide a safe environment for your adventures. We do recommend to check with your local medical professional at your own discretion to make sure you are physically up to the trip. As organizers we do not give specific medical advice, but you might want to get informed about vaccines, allergies and general travel standards for the African continent and Senegal. An international medical assistance insurance with is highly recommended.
